Builder Ordered to Refund ₹86.37 Lakh for a ₹50.52 Lakh Flat, Plus ₹75,000 Compensation
Mumbai: A District Consumer Commission in Panvel, Maharashtra, has directed a builder to refund ₹45.45 lakh paid by a homebuyer, along with 9% annual interest, taking the total to approximately ₹86.37 lakh. The buyer booked a flat in 2015, with possession promised by December 2016. However, the builder failed to meet the deadline. The commission also ordered an additional ₹75,000 in compensation for mental harassment and litigation expenses.
